The FASTY Project is a European Project in IST (Information Society Technologies) part of the Fifth Research and Technological Development Framework Programme and is scheduled for the period from January 2001 to March 2004.
FASTY creats a system for increasing the text generation rate of disabled persons by Predictive Typing and dedicated advanced input devices.
A few keystrokes will produce whole words or sentences.
The input-devices will be standard keyboards and the full range of special input-devices. Additionally to the standard output-devices, speech-output will be integrated.
